How is Illinois different from practically every country in the world?
Illinois requires the addition of fluoride to all commercial water. Fluoride is a toxic material that is responsible for a multitude of serious health conditions, ranging from fluorosis to serious bone degeneration.
Fluorosis is a disturbance of dental enamel caused by excessive exposure to high concentrations of fluoride during tooth growth. It is marked by mottling of the teeth and, when severe, calcification of the ligaments.
There exists a long-held belief that fluoride consumption – from drinking water – is safe and effective in preventing dental caries (cavities). Illinois health officials hold on to this belief in spite of the facts that refute it. Other countries are not as gullible.
Does fluoride help strengthen teeth and prevent cavities? Yes, when used properly – when it’s applied at the correct time by a dentist.
Fluoride is a very toxic substance. All fluoride-containing toothpastes bear the following, “WARNING: Keep out of reach of children under 6 years of age. If you accidentally swallow more than used for brushing, seek professional help or contact a poison control center immediately.” Almost all brands of toothpaste contain fluoride.
If there is anything positive about fluoride in tap water it might be that the vast majority of it doesn’t enter our bodies – right away. Instead, we flush it and wash with it. That is good for us individually, but we pay for the wasted fluoride, AND it eventually ends up back in the water supply. Over time, some communities are finding they might have to now remove excess fluoride instead of adding more because their base water supply has already been contaminated. Again, the cost of removal is passed on to all of us. I began by mentioning how Illinois differs from the entire world outside the United States – countries with educated citizens and leaders who make choices based upon what they determine is best for their citizens – not on old fashion beliefs that are not supported by science.
I have attached a link to a document I’ve located that describes how nineteen countries respond to questions about whether they add fluoride to drinking water. CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE DOCUMENT
Take a look. Copy it. Print it. Pass it on to everyone – especially those who live in Illinois. Yes, practically every state in our union allows or mandates fluoride. That means the problem is large. For now, I’ll focus on Illinois. I want the state laws changed so that our city will be allowed to stop spending our tax dollars to slowly poison us.
