‘Tis the season for some chocolate! In the overall scheme of things, chocolate (or more accurately, cocoa) is a wonderfully healthy substance. Just don’t confuse real chocolate with milk chocolate (a lot of sugar and scant cocoa) or white chocolate (plenty of sugar but no cocoa). Those versions will push your body into places you really don’t want it to go.
Look for chocolates that are 60% to 70% cocoa.
Enjoy small amounts every day. Your body will reward you with continued good health – and you’ll have a nice time as well.
